A group of bicyclists riding more than 5,000 miles from California to Connecticut, stopped for lunch at Amanda’s Bistro on Tuesday. Taking a break for the rest of the day in Abilene were (from left) Michael Morales, Darrel Rose, Bob Goodheart, Mike Grant, Chuck Wakefield, Howard Bradbury, Marty Perlmutter and Tom Dunn. Another rider not shown in the picture but who started with the group was Kiel Weston. He was involved in an accident resulting in a broken arm and dislocated wrist, but plans on meeting the group at the finish line.
